Founding Partner James Clayborne is a former Illinois State Senator with over 23 years of experience working in state and local government, and spent 9 of those years serving as Senate Majority Leader. He leverages his extensive tenure in the Governor’s Office and state Legislative Branch, strong relationships with key decision-makers at the state and local level, deep knowledge of public policy and his legal expertise to assist business owners in forming relationships and lobbying for important policy changes. During his time as Illinois State Majority Leader he wrote significant policy changes in the State’s MWBE Program that included state agencies, the telecom industry, utility industry, and hospitals.
